Salone Rising provides micro grants, small and medium business loans, training programs and mentoring opportunities to motivated entrepreneurs in Sierra Leone. In 2015, we began to support individuals that seek to support their families by making cloth and clothing, preparing hot food, and buying and selling spices, medicines, rice and other needed items. Some grant and business loan recipients offer their communities a unique skill such as weaving, cooking or iron forging. While many businesses will remain small, others may have the potential to grow to include additional employees and locations. Other business types may receive support in the future.
