Mariama (MM) (who goes by M.M.) is the eldest daughter of Mamaland. She arrived at Mamaland when both of her parents, as well as several other family members, had died from Ebola. Although she can’t remember them, she has been told that her parents were hardworking farmers who died within one week of each other. M.M. just passed her secondary entrance exams with flying colors. She is nurturing, serving as a strong role model by leading her sisters with devotion and responsibility. “I was a Muslim before but I knew that God had sent these people to help me. Jesus and Grandma’s faith have changed my life. My dream is to help people like Grandma (Dorcas), to be a doctor one day and run the Narsarah Clinic. I want to fight for the rights of women and girls since they are often not treated well here. Please pray that I will work hard and then come back and help my people.”
