Kadiatu’s mother died while she was giving birth to her younger brother. Her grandma was caring for her but then she got sick. She likes the color blue, cassava leaf, dogs, math, studying, playing games (like Telephone) with her younger sisters. She is a ray of sunshine to her sisters and classmates. She is shy at first but after she warms up to you, she is confident, fun, and super witty. Kadiatu radiates confidence and challenges her sisters but with a sweet sort of humility. She shared, “I like how we are being taught how to love each other and to be Christians. I was a Muslim before but now I am a Christian. I feel happy to have 19 sisters!” She wants to become a nurse one day because she wants to, “help save other people’s lives.”
