Bintu’s mother tragically died while giving birth to her. Then her father died 3 months before she came to Mamaland. After her father passed away, Bintu was being cared for by an Aunt who would leave her alone early in the morning and then return late at night, while she worked on a farm as a subsistence farmer. The government requested that she be cared for at Mamaland, considering her family situation. Bintu’s favorite color is black, her favorite animal is a sheep, and her favorite book of the Bible is Matthew. She’s an affectionate girl who gives the best hugs and cuddles. She shares that she is so happy to live at Mamaland and wants to be a nurse when she grows up.
